2022.01.21 14:17 Extra_Boysenberry_72 Help with new-ish Monstera
Hello! I'm kind of a plant newb and try to only purchase the easiest plants to care for. However I always have problems anyway. Right now it's my monstera. I purchased it a month and a half ago as my first 'bigger' plant. I keep it in indirect light in a room with a minisplit set to 65 degrees (the rest of my house is colder with poor light). It is winter so it's really dry. I try to spray it with water every few days. The soil is super draining, starts dripping with one cup. It's starting to get brown spots, the internet tells me they are 'overwatering' spots but the soil is literally dry as a bone if I stick my finger all the way in. I water it whenever it feels this dry. Am I underwatering it? Should I try to keep the soil moist?
You may notice I tied it together with thick string (I didn't have any twine handy) to keep it contained, since I didn't want it spread out so much.... not sure if that's a good or bad thing.
Thank you so much for your help! I'm tired of my plants dying!

2022.01.21 14:17 kynelly360 DOES ANYONE HERE WORK FOR DC OR WARNER BROS?
I just want to know how to actually get to the Execs at DC or Warner bros. Even if you know a someone that works there I just want to being able to communicate with them. DC has been shit compared to Marvel. We all know this but the FANS JUST WANT TO HELP make it the best franchise as it should be. Listen to the fans, the comics, maybe even take some pointers from Marvel about quality comic book story adaptations, shit even the DC animated universe is better than the cinematic. No offense we just have to get DC out the gutter.

2022.01.21 14:17 garmdian For those trying to Solo Heroic Star fortress I have made an amazing discovery.
First let me say that this is with a stealth build in mind, for those who don't know Star Fortress doors cannot be opened in stealth making moving around the juiced up enemies harder.
However the doors automatically open for those not in stealth. This can be completely cheesed (other than elevator doors which in only 1 other fortress do you need to fight the guards, all others can be put to sleep) by pets.
They don't draw aggro, are never in stealth and if they get close enough to a door will automatically open it, you may need to get really close to the door so the pet comes running right to you. I've found this is best with the smaller ground pets like the mini droids.
But Garm you say: I don't have a stealth build! No need to worry in but a month's time they'll be adding the new combat system which has a specialization switch for all your on the go needs.

2022.01.21 14:17 brianwilkie76 Can I use COBB
Hi all, I posted a query on COBBs website asking if I could use their “Access Port” on my 2010 MK6 GTI with a K&N cone filter mod as I saw some rumblings about COBB not supported if you have a third party filter. I got a really simple answer that stated they always recommend using the stick intake… That didn’t really answer my question so I come here to see if I can get some decent answers? Thanks

2022.01.21 14:17 theplayer206 Can Aerospace engineers work in maintenance?
Hey! I just want to preface this by saying that I'm a Canadian and I am not an aerospace engineer, I am asking this out of pure curiosity. Can aerospace engineers work in maintenance? How much training would they need to do? A bit of an off-topic question as well but is maintenance training a college thing or is it a certification thing you can do at a specialized school?

2022.01.21 14:17 godagrasmannen Why did the Soviets allow the Allies separate zones of control in Berlin, deep inside the Soviet occupation zone?
I understand that to evenly distribute parts of the former Nazi capital between the victors was important symbolic gesture, but wasn't it obvious that actually ceding these areas to the western allies would be highly problematic later on?

2022.01.21 14:17 Specialist_Director9 What technologies should I use for my first large game?
I have been hovering around the concept of making my dream game for a while now. I am just intimidated, and I don’t know how to approach it.
I really like the game Space Engineers and their whole way of making ships and piloting them around.
I also really like the game Factorio because of its addicting feedback loops of letting the factory grow.
So, my idea is to try and make a game that borrows aspects of both while still putting my own spin on things. I would like to try and take some of the factory building elements from Factorio but making the very factory mobile and having the resources something you venture out to find.
I want it to feel like a constant balancing act of how much equipment you can squeeze onto your vessel while still being light enough for the amount of lift you can generate. I want it to be a balancing act of how much fuel you bring to keep yourself in the air while still having enough carrying capacity for resources. I want it to be 2D but with a side on perspective.
The approaches I have considered:
I have looked at a couple of game engines, but I don’t like any of them. The problem boils down to the fact that I don’t know how to make efficient systems for handling building grids. Sure, I can make a way to have a grid of blocks, but what about all of their behaviors and how they interact. I have the distinct feeling that I will have to make my own engine to support these features.
Then what language should I use? I am rather comfortable in java and c. Rust is new to me, but I have gotten to the point where I can understand a given program rather well. C++ scares me. The large amount of memory safety issues, the language bloat, and the fact that the C++ compiler itself is touring complete makes me unsure if I should use it. So, the choice comes down to java or rust.
Then there are the paradigms. I have seen the light and I realize that object-oriented code often hurts more than it helps when it comes to games. ECS seems like a good approach until I try to think about how to fit my game down into one. The thing that I see as a problem is that in this game the entities (specifically the mobile factories that I mentioned before) don’t fit well into the typical ECS framework since they are too big and have too many sub entities (blocks).
So, my question is “How would I go about making this?”. What language should I go with (the stronger and smarter one or the one that I am more familiar with)? What program structure can I implement that doesn’t just fall apart when I begin to add features? Are there any engines out there that might work for my ideas?

2022.01.21 14:17 TehJimmyy Apex Legends and Kovaak Sens question
When my sens is 36cm/360 i miss most of my wingman shots but when i set it to 51cm/360 i hit half or more of my shots. But i cant make a 180 turn without putting a lot off effort to it. At kovaaks i train at 36cm . It seems to me anything above 41cm makes me miss a lot. Should i keep training and playing at apex at 36cm or play 41-51cm. Or should i use seperate senses for kovaaks and apex.
